A True Prophet Gives The Glory To God Alone.

God gave Joseph power to overcome temptation (Genesis 39). Now, He gives him power to interpret dreams. Here, Joseph the dreamer (Genesis 37:5-11) becomes Joseph the interpreter of dreams. Joseph may be viewed as a prophet: ‘Surely the Lord does nothing, without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets’ (Amos 3:7). As a true prophet, he gives the glory to God alone: ‘Do not interpretations belong to God?’ (Genesis 40:8). Joseph became the forgotten man (Genesis 40:23). For Joseph, life had become very difficult. He had known prosperity (Genesis 39:2-3). Now, he was suffering adversity. God is in both our prosperity and our adversity. He uses adversity to produce in us a heart of humility. What was Joseph doing while he was in prison? He was keeping close to God, waiting patiently for his ‘time to speak’ (Ecclesiastes 3:7).

Ezekiel 17:1-24
To those who adopt a ‘rebellious’ attitude to Him, God speaks His Word of warning. They shall ‘not escape’ His judgment (12,18). To those who abandon this attitude of rebellion, there is a way of salvation. In verses 22 to 24, we have a prophecy which looks forward to the coming of the Messiah, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This prophecy ends with God’s promise: ‘I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it’. God has fulfilled His promise. He has sent His Son to be our Saviour (Matthew1:22-23). We now await the fulfilment of prophecy concerning Christ’s Return: ‘I will come again’; ‘This same Jesus... will come back’; ‘The Lord Himself will come down from heaven’. He says, “I am coming soon’. We say, ‘Come, Lord Jesus’(John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 22:20).

God Will Supply

Remember the story of Abraham in Genesis. Abraham was to sacrifice his son. Yet something interesting happened at the foot of the mountain where Abraham was to sacrifice his son. Abraham approached the lads and said watch the donkeys, the boy and I go yonder, worship and come unto you again.

Then on the way up the mount, father we have this and we have that, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering. Abraham's reply:

Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

And God did. Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

The Prophetic Ministry

Thank God for prophecy, and the prophetic ministry. The bible is filled with prophecy. Page and page of prophetic words, promises, even life and death. In these last days God is raising up a prophetic people. A people that hears His voice, dreams His dreams, and see's His visions.

I am going to write more on this as times passes because it's important for us to understand that when Jesus said "my sheep heareth my voice". Jesus meant exactly that being, His voice.
