Luke 1:46-50; Luke 2:13-14; Luke 2:20
When we consider the miracle of Christ's holy birth, our hearts are to be filled with praise to God, sharing in Mary's song of joy: "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour" (Luke 1:46-47). We are to praise God, echoing the song of the angels: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased" (Luke 2:14). We are to join with the shepherds in "glorifying and praising God for all that we have heard" concerning our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. From our hearts, we can truly say with the Apostle Paul: "Thanks be to God for His inexpressible gift!" (2 Corinthians 9:15).
